Ford's Poem

In the darkest hour of the night,
The brightest of men will stand to fight.
They are trained to stand for freedom,
hoping to make it to the heavenly kingdom.
They crawl threw the dirt, mud and sand,
they fight in new and native land.
Shock and Awe is the name of the game,
they will not do this for the fame.
The ground shakes and the earth rubmles,
flames are everywhere as a building crumbles.
The crack of a gun, the explosion of a grenade,
he sihes he was home, drinking sweet lemonade.
The Beat of a drum, a hole in the ground,
they stand and salute, to the unpleasant sound.
They stand at attention, to the 21 gun salute,
They stand and listen as the guns begin to shoot.
They lost there man during the fight.
He would not have regretted this, he knew it was right.
This is the cost that the man and women have to pay,
even if they don't make it home at the end of the day.
Respect them and treat them with the best of your might,
because these are the ones that go to the fight.
And in the darkest hour...of the night,
You will see who is willing, to stand for what is RIGHT!
